My friends Sam and Crystal Scrimpsher are going through a really tough time right now in their marriage. My heart is especially burdened for their children - Houston and Austin. Houston is in 7th grade, and being that age is a challenge in itself. Austin is a child with severe intellectual disabilities. Please pray for God's will to be done in this couple's lives, for the love and peace of God to prevail in this family, and for them to get the help they need.
My husband's not felt well and has had a fever since Thursday. Dr told him today he has bronchitis and suspects pneumonia in his right lung. He was put on an antibiotic, a steroid pack, a strong cough medicine, and had an antibiotic shot too. Please pray for his healing; he's been put on bedrest for the next couple days. Please pray that my son doesn't have this again and that I stay healthy too so I can take care of my family. (Jared had a virus that turned into a bacterial infection, same thing with Glen.) Thank you for your prayers!
Please pray for my family. my papa has Alzheimer's and we are having to put him in the nursing home since he is showing signs of violence. This is very sad for us as he is being someone we don't know. Please pray for strength for us and peace for him.

I was raised in the church and study/read the bible more than most believers, I know, but over the years have lost my faith and stopped believing. I have stayed awake countless hours struggling with this. Reading the bible, researching the facts, and (despite my lack of faith) praying to God to put my heart and mind at peace, come into my heart and let me feel His love. I want to believe to have faith, more than anything I've ever wanted and yet I feel nothing! Our finances have been past a little tight since 4 1/2 years ago when I lost my full-time job. I've looked high and low for a part-time job I can do while our son is in school but to no avail. People want to hire someone who can work flexible hours and the "first shift" positions go to folks with seniority, as they rightfully should. My prayer request is that if God wants me to work He'll show us clearly and lead me to what/ where He wants for me. We don't have the capital to invest in business opportunities so we're not interested in those.

Prayers for a good friend of mine and their family. They just lost a close family member. Pray God gives them peace to get through this. Also, asking prayers for myself that God will help me get over my bad anxiety issues & occasional jealousy issues. Both take a crazy toll on my life & also a prayer my husband & I continue to have good days. We struggle like crazy & have been close to divorcing several times... I just don't want to have to let go.

PRAISE!!! Philippians tells us to give our worries to God, to rejoice in Him, and to keep going... That's such a struggle for me, but as I have been devoting time to Him each morning and praying fervently that he guide me and take my worries; He has answered! He has made changes in me and my students and things are so much better! Everyday may not be perfect, but I'm no longer feeling hopeless and as though I'm drowning! Thank You Jesus!

Please pray for my mom who has got herself into credit card debt and is filing bankruptcy. She is codependent and having a hard time dealing with my brother recently getting married and moving out. She is lonely and has developed a very negative and nasty attitude and is giving my brother and his new wife a difficult time. Feelings have been hurt all around. My brother and his wife are not responding well to mom. Please pray for healing and restoration in their relationships, for wisdom, discernment, clarity, good judgment, and spiritual growth -mostly please pray as the Holy Spirit leads you. Please pray for safety for my family and that my daughter gets to come home soon. It has been a 12 year battle with her dad in the court system. He was abusive both to her and to me and has prevented me from seeing her. Her dad has just died and I'm trying to get her back, but her family is interfering.

Jared is feeling a lot better now. He's not had a fever above 99.something since Friday night at 11 pm. He's holding down solid food better now. Still has a hacking, phlegm-producing cough that doesn't go well with his strong gag reflex. Has been home from school since 9.4.2014. Just now feeling like catching up on his schoolwork. Praise God for healing my son! I know the greatest miracle is salvation - all three of us are born again - and God answered our prayers for healing too.
Pray that my husband and I can remain calm when the kids act up. It is so easy to yell at them and I am guilty of that. No one wants to admit being a parent is hard but it sure is. I have made a list of house rules for everyone to follow along with consequences and rewards, I pray this goes well and we can be a family that not only loves eachother but like eachother.
