Please pray for Pastor Shawn Patton of Life and Praise Restoration Center in Sparta. He was recently diagnosed with stage 4 untreatable kidney cancer. This is my sister's pastor and they are believing for a miracle. He is not taking chemo, but can not work his construction job. He is still pastoring at Life and Praise and it is a very small congregation.
Today we drive Jack to Atlanta to spend a week with his dad. I ask that Jack and his father and family have a good time with each other as I know it's always a very stressfull time for all. UPDATE: The knot in my neck has been there for 4 days now with no change. While I'm trying really hard not to worry, sometimes that's difficult. I am going to the doctor on Monday to get it checked out, so please continue to pray that it's nothing serious. Thanks!!
Hi church family, I ask that you would keep one of our River babies, Samuel Garrett, in your prayers. He was taken to Vanderbilt for some tests yesterday and ended up being taken into surgery for an intestinal surgery and appendectomy last night. Doctors are keeping him fairly heavily sedated as he is only 9 weeks old but please be praying for a speedy recovery and peace for his family. Thank you, friends.

I have a cousin whose 9 year old daughter was diagnosed with cancer. They say it has a 90% or better chance for full remission but must go through chemo for 2 1/2 years. She will more than likely loose her hair which has her real upset. Having taken chemo myself I can't imagine a child having to deal with it. Anna Marie is her name. She has also made a friend at the hospital about the same age whose cancer is more dangerous and has been in the hospital for almost 2 months. Prayers for him and for all the kids at the hospital and around the world. so sad.

Please pray for my co-worker Anna. She just found out she is pregnant. She is a high risk patient because she had a baby over a year ago and the baby lived only a couple of day. She is concerned because her and her husband both have to work. Her job involves lifting, bending and such. She can get a note from the doctor as to a limit for lifting. She is then told if she can't do her job she would have to take a leave of absence. Which she can't afford to do either. She is very upset and fearful that she will lose her baby or her job. This young couple need prayers from everyone. I want to say thank you for the prayers.

A friend who is expecting twins. She has scoliosis, and I worry about what the twins will do to her body. A friend's teenager. They have gotten into drugs, and recently found out that they are expecting a child. The whole family is struggling, and the teen has not informed the family of the expectant child. I have comps this week. If I do not pass this test I cannot graduate. I am beyond stressed and need peace from the Lord, that whatever the outcome He is with me. I know that He did not bring me this far through school to not be with me on my test, but Satan is using my disorder against me.
