My Granddaddy ~ J.N. Ely, Jr. of Pennington Gap, VA ~ passed away last night at 11:00 P.M. in the hospital at Kingsport. He'd been sick for 3 weeks, and we expected him to pass. He was a Christian (since the age of 11 or 12), a hard-core Southern Baptist (loved Charles Stanley), a deacon in his church for about 60 years, a life-long farmer, taught school for more than 40 years, a WWII vet, faithful to his wife, father of 4, grandfather of 4, and great-grandfather of 3. He was 94 years old, a salt of the earth kind of guy and was part of the greatest generation that ever lived. Please keep our entire family in your prayers. (my last grandparent)

My Granddaddy is 94 and a Christian since he was 11 or 12. He's been sick in the hospital since the day after Christmas with a bad gall bladder infection. My family tells me he's fading away and will probably pass soon. He lives in the mountains of Virginia so I can't spend time with him as much I'd like but thankfully did get to see him some at Christmas. Please keep him in your prayers as I don't want him to suffer. He's my last living grandparent.
We ask that you lift up Priscilla for her physical protection and for her strength in Christ enduring persecution. Pray for Murray her husband that Christ would rescue him with Salvation and he would stop hurting his family. Pray for the protection of their child and God would remove the alcohol and abuse.
