My wife's uncle died suddenly. We don't know the details. We don't have any reason to believe that he ever followed Christ. My mother in law (her brother is the one who died) is an unbeliever. Pray that God will use this to draw her close and soften her heart. Also pray that we will have the right words to tell her.
My dad has been admitted to the hospital with an enlarged spleen. They are running several tests and are beginning a blood transfusion right now. Tomorrow they are going to do a bone marrow test.
Although most of the tests aren't back yet, they believe he may have Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML). In addition to his health needs, I ask that you please pray for my mom, as my dad is her full time care giver. She's blind and not well herself.

I have a friend that is having a biopsy done on Monday (4-15-13) to see if she has cancer. One of her vocal cords are paralyzed so they did more testing finding that her lymph nodes are swollen and there is a mass in her chest behind her breastplate. Please lift her and her family in prayer to the greatest healer of all.
My wife and I have been reading a book by Robert Morris, called "The Blessed Life." We took a step of faith in December and started tithing off our net income, even though "we couldn't afford it," like so many believers say. We were able to pay off a large debt, and the Lord showed us other ways to lower our expenses. Just like other stories we have heard, somehow the money stretched in creative ways, and we could tell that He was taking care of us. Now, we have taken another step of faith by tithing off our gross monthly income (twice now). Our goal is to get completely out of debt, to become "extravagant" givers, and to be a testimony of God's faithfulness for other believers. Please pray for us not to give up, or give into fear, but to keep moving forward.
Please pray for our son Joshua. He is 20, married less than a year, and he and his wife are both attending Tech. He had never had any major health problems until his senior year in high school. He went into anaphylactic shock for no apparent reason one evening after work. Six more episodes followed in the next 15 months. He started seeing a specialist at Vanderbilt, and last year was diagnosed with a rare immune disorder called Mast Cell Activation Disorder (MCAD). This condition has only been diagnosed in less than 250,000, so it is considered an "orphan disease," and is low on the priority list for new research and treatment. (They just named it in 2011.) The specialist at Vanderbilt is about out of options, and isn't sure what to do next.
Josh's condition seems to be worsening over time, affecting many parts of his body, especially his cardiac and nervous systems. Last night, he passed out at work (Averitt in Cookeville); his co-workers called 911 and had to use his epi-pen waiting for the ambulance. The paramedics were afraid he was going into cardiac arrest, and did their best to keep him stable until they could get him to the hospital. This is happening more and more frequently.
Unfortunately, Josh is probably going to lose his job soon due to lost time, and not keeping up with an hourly quota of data entry. His wife Sarah has been unemployed for two months now, and can't find work. Thankfully, a charity at Vanderbilt covers most of the medical bills, but they still have daily living expenses, plus college extras.
They have scholarships at stake, and student loans that have to be repaid. Both their grades are suffering due to stress and all they have had to deal with in their short time of married life. They are both believers, and their heads and hearts are both in the right place to go through this. Josh told me this is "his cross to bear," and he is OK with it, no matter what happens. Mom, however, hopes it is God's will to make this all go away. Any parent out there knows what I'm talking about--there is nothing worse than seeing your child suffer, and feeling helpless to do anything. Please pray with us for total healing, and an incredible testimony of God's faithfulness in the process. Thanks

My cousin that has been in and out of hospital/ ICUs. Can not control blood pressure, more testing. For me, that God give me peace as I am healing from complete hysterectomy that could not be done laproscopic. Praise for an awesome husband that is taking care of me and reminding me the true meaning of love/ marriage. Praying that God would help with both our stress with financial needs.
I have a law suit pending against me due to a car accident. The person is suing me for $350,000 dollars which are way beyond my policy limits.

The pastor of Long Hollow Baptist Church in Hendersonville, Tn has been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer that has a zero survival rate. Please pray for him and his family to have peace and faith to get through this.
My sister, a paramedic, was treating a patient on the ambulance, and was stuck with the same needle by accident as the patient. The patient tested positive for Hep C. My sister will not know for a year if she is positive. She is getting married in October and they would like to try to have a baby. She is nervous about what the results show. If it comes back positive at all, she will not be able to have a baby ever. Please pray for God's hand to be on my sister and that her tests are clear. She has been doing this job for 10 years and this is the first time this has happened to her.
I pray that when my daughters dad gets out of jail in July he does right this time, finds a job to help me support our kids, and he finds his way back to God and back to church.
Prayer request for Garrett R. (baby Max) it is Michael R.'s nephew. Baby Max is 6 months old staying at Vanderbilt. He is fighting stage 3 brain cancer. He is going to start chemo this week. Also, my husband's uncle had biopsy done on a cyst on his brain & they find out results on Monday. He has been depressed after surgery, so pray for his mental state & good news from results.
And lastly, my sister's father-in-law is not doing good. He has had cancer in the past & afraid it may be back. He is hurting a lot & not really telling the family a whole lot to satisfy them. Pray for all of them, and that the doctors can help him with his hurting and that, if the cancer is back, the Lord can heal him in ways no one will understand.
Please pray for baby Andrew (infant son of Kyle and Christine Rivers). Andrew is in Vanderbilt and going into surgery this morning (Tuesday) and will be in surgery approximately 2-2.5 hours. Please pray for wisdom for the doctors and for a successful surgery.
