My car's alternator went out and I was stranded with no coat in 39 degree weather at night. God provided in so many ways! And an anonymous person paid for my alternator that I didn't know how to pay for. I am so grateful for God's goodness, mercy, and provision. Also Trevor's care package mailed on August 10th arrived Friday! Only by God's protection – many packages are being stolen – so many that legislators are acting to stop it. Praise Jesus!

Please keep my father-in-law and our family in your prayers. My father-in-law has been in poor health for the past two years since he fell backwards down his basement stairs. In May he had aspiration pneumonia and almost died. He’s been on hospice at home ever since. This is especially hard on my husband who is his primary caregiver. My father-in-law is a believer and church of Christ member.
A church member and my friend Lora Williams (husband is Troy, daughter is Ashley) lost her Dad yesterday. He passed at his home in Catlettsburg, Kentucky. He was a godly man. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Please keep this sweet family in your prayers. Lora is heartbroken. She and her Dad were very close.

My Dad’s brother passed away unexpectedly a couple days ago. Today I found out both of my parents have tested positive for Covid. Sadly they will not be able to attend the funeral since they are in quarantine. Thankfully they both got the vaccine so hopefully it won’t be quite as bad. Please pray for their recovery.

My wife, Patti, will be having a rather lengthy same-day, out-patient surgery (actually 3 surgeries in 1) on Wednesday November 3rd. General anesthesia will be involved. Prayers, please, that the surgery goes smoothly, no after-effects from the anesthesia, return home by Wednesday evening, speedy/full recovery and (of course) that the Lord's divine Hands be in control each-and-every step in the process. My mom's friend's so, Joel is having brain surgery on Monday. He has Chiari Malformation. He is six years old. I pray that God can have the surgery go well, and Lord willing everything goes well, and keep the family stengthened and let them lean on God.

My boss recently had a procedure. I've been praying for her and sending her get well cards and letting her know I was lifting her up to our Father.

My oldest brother tried to commit suicide last Tuesday. He is married with a 14 year old son. He is an alcoholic. He's been to rehab at least 4 times for heroin and alcohol and probably more than I don't know of. He's hurting and the devil has been working on taking his life for a long time because he knows the impact his redemption story would have for the kingdom of God. He is back in rehab on his own will, so just need big prayers.
