Going thru a divorce after two decades of marriage. I know God has a plan for our family and I’m praising him thru this storm. However, our children are hurting and I’m hurt even though I don’t want this for myself or them any longer. It’s something I never imagined we would be going thru.
Please pray for my two friends Blake and Makayla that I go to school with. They are in a dating relationship and both care very much about each other. They go to church but both of their walks with God are distant. The girl is struggling with depression and hasn't taken her medication in a few days and has a history of harming herself. Her boyfriend texted me and is very worried of what she could potentially do. Please pray for the two of them and for myself as I try and help them. Thank you.
We are having guest at our home tonight for a Christmas party. Pray that we will have opportunities to share our faith through conversations, that people will see the difference in us (Christ in us), and become even more curious. Please pray for my sister Wilma and her family. She was taken to the hospital yesterday with a bad headache and nausea. They have found a large mass on the back of her brain. They went in and put a temporary drain in it to try to relieve some pressure. She is intubated and still having high blood pressure. Pray for Dr Justes and the entire medical team at CRMC. They are thinking about sending her to Vanderbilt.
Please pray for our Jewish friends as they celebrate Hanukkah Sunday night the 22nd through the 30th. Also for their government as they hold their third elections in less than a year due to party disagreements. For safety as rockets continue to be fired from the Gaza Strip to neighboring communities in Israel.
My husband's dad fell down the basement stairs at his house 12/17/19. He banged himself up pretty badly but PRAISE GOD, he has no broken bones or brain injuries. He'd been on the concrete basement floor almost two hours when I found him. He finally agreed to let an ambulance come transport him to Smithville/ DeKalb St. Thomas Hospital. They took great care of him and he was sent to St. Thomas Murfreesboro late Tuesday night. He's on his way back home now. He wanted to do PT/ home health/ CNA bath assistance instead of rehab. He's widowed and elderly so he'll need our family to move in with him and take care of him. Please pray for his healing, strength to come back, and for him to see that he needs our help. The medical staff at both hospitals strongly recommended he never be alone again. This will be a huge change and mean compromise and longsuffering for all of us. My husband and I are at peace with this decision. We need prayer to make all this happen, so please pray! We are all born again Christians.
Praise report: My Dad called me, and he's okay. He was not handling the loss well and spent a week in a local hospital's behavioral health unit. He didn't mention anything about faith and I know better than to ask, so please continue to pray for him to get born again. Also pray he'll take care of follow up instructions and follow doctor's orders. He has secluded himself the last few years and not talked with his lifelong best friends, so please pray for restoration. Thank you.
Please pray for my friend Marlene. She scratched her cornea and now they can’t do surgery because she keeps developing lesions on her eye. She can no longer see out of the eye and hasn’t been able to work due to the pain. She only had three years left to retire with full benefits but now they are suggesting that she retire early.

Giselle, the sweet young wife of our brother Randy, the lead pastor at First Baptist Church of Santiago de Cuba (our host church in Cuba), suffered a mild stroke several days ago. My family hadn't heard from my Dad in a week, and he wasn't responding to any form of communication whatsoever. He lives in a different state so we couldn't go check on him. He's 75, diabetic, had just suffered a great loss, and lived alone. We finally heard from a family friend a little while ago. He wasn't handling the sadness well and reached out for help. We know he's not home so we're not sure where he is, but we're glad he's alive. He's not a Christian so please agree with us in prayer that he'll surrender his life to Jesus and get born again. Thank you.
Prayers for my daughters-in-law. One had her mother pass away and one lost a very young cousin to suicide all this past week. Prayers for strength and courage as the days go forward.

I am asking for prayers for my mother. She has been on home hospice for the last two and a half weeks. She was transported to the Cumberland Hospice House in Crossville this morning.
My Grandma is at the ER. She may of had a stroke. Her blood pressure has been really high and her arm and leg are numb. Please pray for her and my grandpa.

Very Urgent: over a year ago we had put a deposit with a moving company which we tried to cancel and get the money refunded. But they never did and we have been trying toget the credit card company to delete the fraudulent balance. My husband will not allow me to make any paynents towards this outstanding debt and our credit is in trouble. My sister is currently without a job, no home, chronic pain & waiting on disability. Frustrations are very high. Me and my sister had a huge argument tonight. Words were said that shouldn’t have been. Yelling and cursing was exchanged. I have been having hard feelings for a while but thought I had worked past them but they all came to a boil tonight and we lost our tempers. Prayers for my sister as I hope she is safe as she stormed out. Prayers for me as I work through my anger and disappointment in my behavior.
We thank God for our Thanksgiving weekend as we had neighbors join us in a meal and families from Pakistan and Sri Lanka. We were able to share our faith with friends several times this week.
